OUR ORGANIZATION
We strive for creative growth and collaboration through an annual, student-driven theatrical production.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The mission of Spotlight Cast & Crew is to provide a musical theatre experience that is directed, choreographed, designed (lighting, sound and costume) and performed by students in grades 8-12 in the greater Fort Worth Area. The objective of our mission is to provide annual theatre intensives in the summer at no cost to any of the students involved. Spotlight Cast & Crew is an equal opportunity organization and provides opportunities to students regardless of race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, gender or sexual orientation.
Spotlight Cast & Crew provides a safe, creative outlet where high-school-age student artists of all artistic mediums from all over the DFW area can come together and collaborate on an annual theatrical production with no tuition cost.

Our Programs
Spotlight Cast & Crew Main Stage
Spotlight Cast & Crew’s Main Stage Productions continue the signature Spotlight Cast & Crew model: a tuition-free, student-led musical theatre experience open to students entering 8th through 12th grade. Over the course of three weeks each June, students take on every aspect of a full-scale musical—from direction, choreography, and design to stage management, crew, and performance. With guidance from professional mentors, students connect, create, and collaborate to bring a musical theatre production to life.
This program builds on our longstanding commitment to accessible, high-quality arts education in the greater Fort Worth area. For details about our upcoming Main Stage production of Disney’s Newsies: The Musical in June 2026, please click the link below.
The Spotlight Studio
The Spotlight Studio is a brand-new extension of our mission, designed for student artists who are ready to take the next step in their theatre education journey. Open to students the summer before their junior year through the summer following their senior year, this program mirrors our Main Stage approach—student-led, tuition-free, and professionally supported—but focuses on smaller, more challenging musical theatre works.
With an intentionally intimate cast size and advanced material, The Spotlight Studio offers older students a deeper opportunity to connect, create, and collaborate as they refine their skills and take on more substantial artistic roles.

We are tuition-free.
Yes. You read that right. Our program allows students to pursue their interests in theater entirely tuition-free. By being one of the few programs that offers no-cost attendance, our program gives everyone an opportunity to pursue the arts.
